MISSION
The Mission of Housing & Management Section of Punjab Workers Welfare Board is to provide shelter to the shelter less industrial workers by establishing Labour Colonies across the Punjab.

FUNCTION.
It deals with allotment and its allied matters of Labour Colonies like allotment, cancellation of allotment, re-allotment, auction of commercial plots etc.

ELIGIBLITY CRETARIA

A worker employed in an industrial establishmen

a. Which is paying PESSI contribution for the last three years.
b. Which is contributing to the Education Cess for the last three years.
c. Which is functioning without interruption for a period of three years.
d. Which is situated in the same District where labour colony is located.

  1. He or any member of his / her family is not tenant lessee or owner in any of the housing colony of the Board.
  2. No criminal proceedings are pending against him either in the establishment in which he is employed or in any other forum.
  3. Has three years service at his credit.
  4. Who fulfill the definition of workman given in I.R.O. 2002.
  5. Registered with EOBI / Social Security.
